Websites for the future.
Which content management system is best for your business? Joomla, Drupal or WordPress?
Drupal, Joomla and WordPress are all excellent CMS.
When thinking about which CMS for your business you must think about SEO and web design at the same time.
Each type named above can be used to setup a website in a matter of minutes and each type can be used to easily update your information. There are some slight differences in the platforms that provide pros and cons depending on your business model.
WordPress is the most popular of the CMS systems. With over fifty million unique visits to WordPress (http://codex.wordpress.org/) it dwarfs both Joomla and Drupal, who can only manage a paltry fifty thousand visitors a piece.
Drupal also has some very unique and useful development tools. Although, these extra benefits do come at an increased price. Not only does it cost more to create, it usually costs a lot more to maintain and requires skilled professionals to make the CMS shine.
Finally there is Joomla. This definitely holds the middle ground and is a realistically option for any SME. It is slightly more expensive than WordPress in terms of maintenance, however this comes with some unique tools to make the site your own. It can be more difficult to maintain in terms of technological knowledge and would be a challenge for a beginner.
Overall it is WordPress that is the better CMS in our opinion. It can be handed over to clients who have very little knowledge of CMS or websites. There are plenty of teaching videos on Youtube to help you.
Crucially, WordPress is exceptional when it comes to optimisation, having various plugins to help with this important aspect.
There is no point in having a website if you cannot optimise it.
